Drugstore Eye Shadow Collection

It’s been a while after my last makeup related post. A few post before I talked about my lipsticks collection. Today I’m gonna talk about my eye shadow collection. I only have a few of them and all of them are drugstore brand. I don’t have high end brand eye shadow. I don’t even have the most famous Naked palette. So, here we go..

Revlon PhotoReady Primer + Shadow – Impressionist

This is the first eye shadow that I purchased around 2.5 years ago, with my first salary. I remember the day I bought this eye shadow palette. I told the BA that I want eye shadow that easy to use and appropriate for daily use at work. The BA suggested this palette. I never use this eye shadow again, but when I playing around with it, I don’t know why I didn’t use it again, I guess I forgot that I have it. The quality of the eye shadow is great. The powders are so soft, pigmentation in good, easy to blend, one thing that I don’t like about it is the sparkle to coat/powder. It’s to glittery, it has chunky glitter on it that didn’t look pretty at all. This eye shadow is great for beginner, there’s a direction at the back of the packaging, great for daily use.

Maybelline Hyper Diamonds – BR2

If you like glittery eye shadow, you gonna like this one. This mini palette contains 5 glittery eye shadows. The colors are great, but the light colors tend to be chunkier, especially the white shade. The glitter on the white powder is so big and to fall everywhere.

L.A.Girl  Beauty Brick SMOKY

To be honest, I regret buying this palette. This is the worst eye shadow palette I’ve ever had. Please don’t judge me, I don’t hate the brand. L.A girl has a bunch of great product, the bb cream, the pro concealer is amazing, the liquid lip product also great. I just don’t like this palette. The pigmentation is bad, it’s powdery and hard to blend. I even struggle to make good swatches for this post. I didn’t recommend this palette at all.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes

I heard a lot of bad reviews about this palette after I purchase it. Well, it isn’t the best one. Some of the colors are lack of pigments. It looks pretty on the pan, but didn’t show up that great on the lid. I like some of the colors on this palette. The matte pink one, the shimmery plum color one on the up right  and the shimmery blue purple-ish color on the bottom right one. That are 3 shades that I always wear to get the pink smoky look. Maybe I will show you sometimes when I update this post.

Wet n Wild Color Icon – Comfort Zone

This is my current favorite eye shadow. It’s affordable. Pigmentation is beyond amazing, so easy to blend and the powders are so smooth. Warning: use light hand when you apply the definer shades, because it’s SO PIGMENTED. There is direction in the back of the packaging to get 4 look using this eye shadow. Sometimes I put the brow bone shade all over my lids and apply contour powder on the crease to create a depth on my eyes. For special event, I put all 4 shades to create more dramatic look.

Urban Decay Single Eye Shadow – Sin | Bourjois Pearl Eye Shadow – Brown | Maybelline Color Tattoo – Bronze

This are 3 single eye shadow that I have.

Urban Decay Single Eye Shadow – Sin. Well,  Urban Decay wasn’t a drugstore brand. You can find it at sephora, this single shadow cost $18.00. It is a little high on the price but for the quality, it’s worth it. I love Sin, beautiful shimmery champagne pink that great on the lid and also in the corner of the eyes.

Bourjois Pearl Eye Shadow – Brown. If you can see, the packaging is beat up. I got this from my mom. This is one of her collection. I don’t know what year it made because the packaging is old. I can’t find the same product anywhere here in bourjois counter Indonesia, either in Sephora. The color is intense. I haven’t try this one yet. I am scared that this is so old, but the color is pretty.

Maybelline Color Tattoo – Bronze. I love color tattoo. It is long lasting, once its set, it won’t move around. The color is so pretty and so intense. I want to buy another color, but the colors that available in Maybelline counter Indonesia are limited and I need to buy the colors that I want on-line.

Ok, there are all eye shadows that I have. I have a few brands in my whist list that I really want, but I think it has to wait for a while.
